KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: COVID-19 Eviction Protections California’s COVID-19 Tenant Relief Act

California has a law that protects renters during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are protections for renters who can’t pay their rent because of COVID-19. There are protections for renters who get an eviction notice that doesn’t have a reason on it. 

The law was just extended to protect renters until at least June 30, 2021. California will also have a new rental assistance program starting in March 2021. Lower income renters may get some help to pay a part of their unpaid rent.

Conozca sus derechos: protecciones de desalojo por COVID-19 La ley de Alivio de COVID-19 para Inquilinos en California

California tiene una ley que protege a los inquilinos durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Existen protecciones para los inquilinos que no pueden pagar la renta debido a COVID-19. Existen protecciones para los inquilinos que reciben un aviso de desalojo que no tiene un motivo.

La ley se acaba de extender para proteger a los inquilinos hasta al menos el 30 de junio de 2021. California también tendrá un nuevo programa de asistencia para la renta a partir de marzo de 2021. Los inquilinos de bajos ingresos pueden recibir ayuda para pagar una parte de renta impago.
